How to Nurture Self-love through Art Journaling

Self-love means that you accept yourself fully, treat yourself with kindness and respect, and nurture your growth and wellbeing

Self-love, self-acceptance and self-compassion are all essential to our emotional well-being and our mental health. Too often, the majority of us seek fulfillment of these experiences externally. What I know to be true from my own healing experience, is that I needed to connect with my inner child, allow her to reveal what she needed (and did not receive as a child) and learn to meet these needs on her behalf. As I began to explore her needs through therapy, written and art journaling, I gave her a voice that was heard. I began to truly see and understand her, accept her, honor her, and lover her.

Art as self-care can offer deeper insight and even healing.

I love the way words and quotes have a way of encouraging, nurturing & inspiring me - perhaps they do you too. When you subscribe to Bloom True, you will receive this FREE collection of collage papers, journal cards, a sheet of cut & past quotes and florals + a one hour video walking you through how to create your own 5x7” accordion self-love art journal. As soon as you subscribe to our newsletter, you will immediately receive links from which you may download the collection and begin to creatively explore self-love. I would love to hear which resonate most with you and why. Share in our comments on IG
